Holiday Ornaments

My Thursday morning bee gets together once a month, and in December, we decided to make some holiday ornaments. We met at Dorothy's house and took over her kitchen table. We used clear glass ornaments that we purchased at Joann's, Hobby Lobby, and Michaels, and made them into sparking and colorful ornaments. I am not sure which was more fun, making your own or waiting to see how the others turned out.
Dorothy, Pat, Yvette, Dorothy and Carolyn hard at work (I was taking the picture).
Our first step was to coat the inside of the ornaments with Simple Solutions #1*, drain the excess back into the bottle, and wait a minute or so to let the coating get tacky.
* Glue type binder for the pigments, can be used on Fabric and glass

Next we started to add various colors of Polished Pigments, which are pigments in powder form, and glitter to the inside of the ornament. We twisted and twirled them until the inside was completely covered, and voila they were done. * Polished Pigments and Simple Solutions are from LuminArte http://www.luminarteinc.com/catalog/primary-elements.html.
We had a break to have Dorothy's homemade Panna Cotta (YUM), cookies and coffee. Unfortunately, Carolyn had to leave early and I didn't get a picture of her ornaments. Below are the ones completed by the rest of the group. Everone was happy with how theirs turned out. It's great to work on something that can be completed in one sitting.
