While browsing through the blogs that I read, I found this easy to use online color tool link on http://artgirlz.blogspot.com/. Pick any color and choose the varied analogous, monochromatic, triad, complementary, compound, shades and custom colors, or choose colors selected by others. I found this to be very user friendly and fast.
My currently favorite book for easy color selection is Visual Coloring: A Foolproof Approach to Color-Rich Quilts by Joen Wolfrom.
